Bayanihan para sa Atletang Pilipino – 29th Southeast Asian Games 2017

Saan man panig ng mundo, saan man makarating, anuman ang antas ng buhay at taas ng narating, gaano man kayaman, makapag-asawa man ng ibang lahi, magpalit man ng kasuotan ang pagiging Pilipino pa rin ang mananalantay sa dugo ng bawat isa.

Filipinos in Malaysia comprising of OFW migrants and residents where are all present in Bukit Jalil National Stadium to watch the opening ceremony of the 29th Southeast Asian Games on 19 August 2017 which highlighted aspects of Malaysia’s history and culture. The ceremony was directed by film director Saw Teong Hin with co-operation from the, Malaysian Armed Forces, time 20:17 was chosen to start the opening ceremony to mark the year 2017, the year which Malaysia hosted the 29th Southeast Asian Games.

The Filipino community in Malaysia with the spirit of togetherness and fully support all the Filipino Athletes with prayers & good wishes. All of us cheered vigorously during the games such as athletics, basketball, ice hockey, billiards & snooker, equestrian, fencing, boxing, gymnastics, judo, lawn bowls, pencak silat, taekwondo, triathlon & wushu gold medals which won for the Philippines gold medals.

Special Thanks To Chickie Dumalag, May Flor Infante, Edelina Rocutan, Vergie Florendo, Peter Tolibas, Gina Casero, Joann  Dela Rosa Conseco, Lilibeth Boncato and most especially Leo Castillo.
